Baie en Joie
You may have wondered who are those young women performers often displayed on tourism brochures.
They are La Baie en Joie, Nova Scotia's foremost Acadian dance troupe, composed of young highly experienced Acadian performers primarily from Clare whom have continually honoured their Acadie.
The troupe's light-hearted gigue steps in combination with its intrinsic choreography and richly coloured traditional costumes depicts the performers true "joie de vivre".
With accessories like wooden spoons, fishnet and the Acadian flag, the members of La Baie en Joie proudly demonstrate their Acadian heritage. Under the artistic direction of Anne-Marie Comeau, the troupe, past winners of the Nova Scotia Dancers Achievement Award, has known professional recognition throughout the global dance community.
