Festival Joseph et Marie Dugas
Join us in honouring our founding couple with music, games, an arts and crafts sale, a flea market and delicious local cuisine. It’s a fun-filled day for the whole family complete with entertainment on the shores of Belliveau Cove.

The Municipality of Clare purchased the piece of land and the festival was begun by residents of Belliveau Cove in order to develop it into a municipal park.

The first festival held on the site was called "The Festival of Clams" the profits of which would go toward the building of a lighthouse on the end of the Belliveau Cove wharf.

The park was called the Belliveau Cove Waterfront Development Commission and approximately three years afterwards the municipality dedicated the park to the first Acadians in the region of Clare, Joseph and Marie Dugas on the anniversary of their arrival.
