Acadian Cemetery & Chapel
A group of Acadians, fleeing the Expulsion, came to this area in 1755. Site of the first Acadian cemetery of Saint Mary's Bay, used as a burial ground until 1786.
The Little Chapel, with its statue of the Immaculate Conception, dates back to 1892. It is the second chapel built on this site and as a reminder of the sacredness of these grounds.
